Can I bring siblings to the class?
Yes, we are happy for you to bring siblings under the age of 2 to the class at no additional charge. We please ask you to be mindful of small parts and to ensure that the little ones are safe and supervised at all times. For any sibling over the age 2 then they can be added to your booking at a reduced rate. We have had siblings up to the age of 9 attend the class and they have still loved the activities due to their open ended design!
Do you do pay as you go or termly bookings?
WonderLAB offers both options as we understand it is good to have flexibility around classes.
The termly booking rate is slightly discounted and some of the classes are in high demand. So we do advise booking a full term to lock in your child's place and avoid disappointment.
Pay as you go classes can only be book one week in advance.
Do I need to bring anything with me to the class?
We supply lab jackets for your little ones. You may decide to bring a towel, bag and spare clothes to change into if your child likes to get particularly involved in the mess!
Should we wear old clothes?
At WonderLAB we embrace our colourful mess and encourage children to immerse themselves in non-toxic paints and other materials. We cannot guarantee that all materials will wash out, so please dress your child in clothes that they may be growing out of or a “uniform” that they can wear each time they come. You may also want to wear clothes that you are not worried about getting dirty. This will mean that you can fully relax during the session.
We also offer the chance to buy a WonderLAB branded labcoat to purchase at the time of booking. It is a great item to have in the house for role play and messy activities.
Can I arrive early?
We suggest you arrive 5 minutes before class starts so you and your child have time to take off your coat/shoes and to settle in and get ready for fun!
Where do I park?
Tandridge Village Hall has a free car park located behind the hall.
There is limited street parking outside the Clubhouse or you can park at Morrisons and clubhouse is a 5 minute walk.
What kind of materials do you use?
All materials are chosen to be developmentally appropriate. All materials are non-toxic and chosen to safely engage their senses. Some of the materials (scissors/beads/sensory materials) are to be used under the supervision of the accompanying adult.
Will I get to take my child’s creation home?
You will get to take home at least one magical creation from the class. A bag will be provided to carry your child’s creation(s) as it may still be wet. During the class, we focus on the process rather than the product and so they may have been lots of opportunities to create but not necessarily an item to take home.
What if I can’t make the class or the class is cancelled?
PLEASE CHECK THE BOOKING DATE CAREFULLY AS WE CANNOT REFUND / ACCOMMODATE YOU IF YOU TURN UP ON THE INCORRECT DAY
In the unlikely event that WonderLAB cancels a class due to other circumstances, refunds will be issued.
Refunds, credits or make-up classes for missed classes are not offered. Missed activities (e.g. clay) will not be repeated because of a missed class.
What are your health protocols?
We ask all attendees to sanitize hands and remove coats and shoes in our entry way upon arrival.
Can I book a taster?
You are welcome to come for taster session costing £5 (to be paid prior to the session). Please contact me and I’ll send you the booking form link.
Classes can be started at any point in the term. After your £5 taster session you are welcome to join the class for the remainder of the term; in which case, the term's fees would be due the following week.
When do I need to book?
Lessons need to be booked 1 week in advance to ensure there is a space for your child and in order for materials to be ordered. Class numbers are limited to 10.
Do you run holiday classes?
Tiny Explorer classes are held during term time only.
WonderLAB does run one-off workshops in holiday time so be sure to add yourself to the mailing list on the contact page to be the first to find out!
Will I automatically enrol for the next term?
At the end of every term you will be invited to continue classes in the next term. Places are offered to children currently in attendance and the fees will be due at the last lesson of every term for the following term. Any remaining spaces will be offered to children on the waiting list after this date.
